New Residents at 3327

A little finch has made and nest and laid her eggs on our door light. I love it. As she and her beautiful red mate were building the nest I was anxiously awaiting their little eggs to be nestled in the perfectly coiled branches and grass.

4 barely blue, black speckled eggs are snug and safe in their nest.

Mama finch is very displeased each time we walk out the front door. She perches on the eve of the roof and let's me know I am unwelcome and she wishes me to quickly depart. What a special resident to be sharing my home with. I can't wait for the baby finches to crack free!

And...because a post would not be complete without my baby bird, here is Benson snug and safe in his Mom and Dad's "nest."

1st Birthday Baby

My Boy is 1! I can't believe it. It has been a year to remember. He sure loved his birthday cupcake. He dug into it like a champion.
We had some friends over for the cake and ice cream. It was fun.

CAKE!

Yum!

Clean me Mom.

Teething Baby

Yes, those are teeth shining through that little smile. He has three on the bottom. I should have posted this sooner, but here they are in all their glory. He hides them well and it has been hard to get a picture of them. What a cheesy guy.

He climbed into my laundry the other day. Oh, that face makes me melt!

This boy loves the dirt. While I weed my small and slightly pathetic flower beds, Benson plays on my small and slightly pathetic yard and eats dirt. He loves it more that anything. He would be outside all day if he could. SOON we will have grass and he can do just that.

He posed so perfectly for the camera! Cheese everyone.

Busy Baby!

He's a climber! Benson has found new mobility in crawling, standing up to everything, and now climbing onto and into everything. He isn't walking yet, but I can only imagine how my life will be once he is walking. I couldn't keep him off of this hamper, so I turned it around and the next thing I knew he was inside of it. Good work Benson!

MMMMmmmm.... Dum Dums! My sister recommended these little gems as a soother for a child who has endless energy and won't sit still. I introduced these suckers to Benson and now he thinks they are better than any kind of food. I am still glad because when he is sucking on these puppies I get a good 15 minutes of peace and quiet.

This picture is PRICELESS! What can I say...Priceless right!

We had my Brother Bryan and his wife Mary and their son Payton visit last weekend. It was so fun. Payton was a little concerned about sharing a bath with Benson, but Benson loved it! Benson thinks that he needs to bathe standing up now. Whatever floats your boat Buddy.

Happy Easter Baby

A little late to be posting about Easter...yes. But here it is. Benson did have a handsome Sunday Easter shirt on this day for church, but I can't find the picture. I must have deleted it. So, here is the boy with his basket. He loved the eggs because there were little plastic toy bugs inside that he instantly popped in his mouth would chewed on them for hours.
