Here Comes Peter Cottontail

This little baby cottontail bunny got stuck in our basement window well today. I had to get my gloves on and climb on into the window well to rescue the bugger. He was so scared that for a while after I caught him he just sat in my hands shaking before he ran away.

I really love him so much and I wanted to keep him for a millisecond. But then I remembered a incidence from my childhood. My Mom broke down one year at the county fair and bought my brother and I a couple bunnies. I loved them, of course, with all my little heart. They never liked me much though. They always scratched and never wanted to be held. This behavior got me thinking. These bunnies don't want to be caged. They want to be FREE! So I made up my mind that it was my mission to free the bunnies and give them the wild life they deserved and longed for. I briefly spoke of it to Mom in passing and asked her if she too thought the bunnies wanted to be free. She said yes, but I'm sure she had not idea what that meant to me. I took that as an A-OK to get my Free Willy on. While no one was looking, especially not my brother who was the owner of one of the bunnies, I took the cage out into the field behind my house and opened the wire door. Timid at first, the bunnies sniffed and gently hopped out of the cage. Then they bounded away and I could almost hear their little bunny voices telling me thank you.

Needless to say, this little buggitie boo went free today and I am sure he is happy and snacking on a bit of clover as we speak. Maybe I'll see him around sometime soon. I just hope it's not in my window well again. I don't think his little bunny heart could endure another rescue.

Outside Baby

This guy loves it outside. I am happy to 0blidge him in a little outdoor time because he takes rockin 3 hr naps when I let him play outside. This is a pic of his first time down a slide. He thought it was pretty fun. It was a "hair raising" event;)

Playing in the hose while I tend the garden. He could do this for hours. He is concentrating hard.

Yes, he is a raggamuffin. He is wearing a pajama top, too big pants and ducky shoes. Nice right! I was in my black satin jammies with my garden gear. I just hope no neighbors saw us in all our backyard glory.

Down the slide we go. A little static electricity never hurt anyone right.

Garden...For Mom

Although this may be boring and silly, I had to post a few pics of my garden. Not many will appreciate this, but I know my Mother will! So, here is a post for you Mom. You would be proud of my little spot of earth! I planted this garden very very late in the year so it is just barely beginning to bring my a bounty. Here you see a small zucchini beginning to emerge.

A baby butternut squash. I love this little guy. He has grown so much in the last few days and I can't wait to pick him and eat him! How FUN!

Every morning this yellow flowers are shining from my many squash plants and I love them. I am always so proud of the busy bees that are coming to pollinate them so they can help me grow my little squashes. How I love this garden.

A person should not love a garden as much as I adore this teeny tiny bit of land. I love to come and oogle over it several times a day. It certainly gets a lot of TLC and I am so proud of it. Okay...I'm done talking about it. Now a cute pic of the baby.

I've been taking all my pics with my phone and they don't turn out great, but here is Benson giving his teddy bear a love. He adores this little guy. Benson really isn't much of a baby anymore and this is making me sad sometimes. He is still my baby though!

Eye Doctor Baby

Benson spends a fair amount of time at the eye doctor. Last time we paid a visit to our Dr., he found not the blocks to be fun, but the box. He took all the blocks out and made himself at home.

Doesn't he look so grown up in this picture?

This is one of Benson's favorite moves. Downward dog. This is the first time I have been able to get a picture of it. He sure knows his Yoga!

Climbing and Bathroom Baby

I left Benson in the tub while I went to get his jammies and such to get him ready for bed. I got back into the bathroom and saw my little man had climbed from the tub and was trying to climb onto the counter! Oh my goodness...

Pics taken with my phone aren't the best, but wowsers. What about this little monkey huh!?

Speaking of the bathroom, Bubba loves this place more than any room in the house. He pulls every single thing out of the cupboards. Then he proceeds to take everything out of each box he finds. Exhibit A: Mom's "woman stuffs".

Dad comes home sleepy a lot and Benson wants his attention. So he is just content to lay down with Dad with his pacifier and blanket. Ah...so cute!

Red Wagon Baby - Phone Pics

It was hot and Benson loved the red wagon. So, naturally, after a little bit of time in the baby pool he was naked in the red wagon. Time for some embarrassing photos. When you are 15, I will tell you I am sorry for posting these pictures Benson. But, wowie, are they cute! I love the playhouse in the background.

I tried hard not to get his baby manhood in the pictures. Adorable as pie!

No on can resist a naked Benson and those blonde curls.

He was tired and ready for a nap, but Mom just kept on snapping pictures.

I think his patience is wearing thin at this point.

The photo shoot ended when Benson did his potty business in the red wagon and Dad had to hose him off. Fun!

Idaho Family Fun 2011 Edition (Part 1)

We spent a lot of our days in the back yard while in Idaho this summer. It was such a fun time. We filled our days with endless activities and got to hang out with some pretty awesome people. I think Haley, Dallin, Bryce and Kailey are arguing who gets to ride in the red wagon next.

Benson sure loved the wagon. Grandpa pulled him in the wagon often and he ate many a pine cone picked off of passing trees.

It took Benson a few times to warm up to the lawn mower rides. But, he loved them in the end. Hunter gets to ride the mower a lot with Grandpa because he lives so close and I think he wasn't too happy to share his Grandpa and mower with his cousin. :)

And they'll have fun, fun, fun, until Grandpa takes the mower away... (all these pics are taken with my phone so they aren't the highest of quality. But, the memories don't need a perfect picture)

My dear dear sister Holly Ann watched Benson twice while I was off gallivanting around the country side with the Jolley's. Benson isn't around his relatives ever so I was so happy that he could be there with the Shuldbergs. Eating Mac and Cheese for lunch with is cousins was a hit. (again, a terrible photo from my phone but a priceless memory)

Summer Time Splash Boy

Benson loves the water. He loves his nightly bath and I have to shower when he is out of sight because he will crawl right into the shower clothes and all. Needless to say he loved this splash park. It is huge and just such a fun time.

He is still not walking so he crawls around everywhere and wore holes in his swim shorts. He also got some pretty nasty sores on his does from where they rubbed on the concrete.

He sure poses for a picture like a champ. I love this boy so much. He had a blast.

So, about those sores on his toes. Lucky for us, since his sandals weren't doing the job right, his friend Lindy took a nap under our shade tree and Benson got to use her water shoes. PINK! He, and I, were very grateful Lindy wanted to sleep and not play. It made for a really good time for Benson. And saved his poor little toes.

Happy to be in the water and wet wet wet!

Showin off his tongue and his delicious smile!

I couldn't get enough of him. I kept on snappin pictures.

And here is our sleeping princess. She slept through a lot of noise and hustle bustle. Thanks for loaning us the shoes Lindy!

We'll have to get back to this place before the summer is over. What a day!
