Nothing Much

This picture was taken a really long time ago, as you can see from my super long hair that is now all gone. I wanted to post a picture because I know that if I write a novel, no one will read it unless a picture is attached. So, here is a picture for you all to enjoy and now I will proceed with the novel. I don't have much going on so I will write 5 things that are on my mind.

1: I really really want my hair to grow back FAST! I loved the short hair for a while, but I am ready for my long locks back. My husband will die if he reads this because he told me that would happen. The only reason the short doesn't work so well is because my hair is too curly in the back and not curly enough on the top. So, I end up having a great 60's flip do and I don't really like it. It takes me forever to straighten it and I wish I just had enough hair to put in a pony tail. But, the good news is that my hair does grow abnormally fast, so I can't complain too much.

2: I get so excited around the end of summer because I love "back to school" atmosphere. Yes, it has been quite some time since I have been "back to school," but I can't help but get excited about it. I want to go out and buy a backpack, pencils, erasers, notebooks, trapper keepers, glue and anything school related. I wish I could go meet my new teacher and have the excitement of seeing what new people were going to be in school this year. OH MY GOODNESS, I am getting all jumpy just thinking about it. I think I am worst this year because it seems the kids I am with at camp are SUPER excited as well and their energy just oozes onto me.

3: I used to despise this humidity, but I like it now. When we were in Idaho it was hot and dry. My nose got all dry and my throat was always parched. I felt like my skin was about to crack everywhere and my face was so dry I wanted to cry. Okay, that is a little dramatized, but you get the point. I really love the humidity and moisture in the air. It feels better for you, like it heals as it moistens. I might not like the heat and humidity together when its close to 100 outside, but I sure am learning to love the humid weather here.

4: Can you believe how quick the summer went. I know this happens every year, but this summer just flew by. I think that time goes even faster the older I get. I know I am only 24, but I feel like every summer just goes by faster each year. I mean, how did it get to be the end of July already? Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing.

5: I just wanted to give a little shout to my wonderful YW presidency. I can't believe how great the girls I work with are. They make this calling so enjoyable, and they lessen my burden so much. I have to be honest, I wasn't really excited about being the YW president, and I had a hard time enjoying the work load at the beginning. Now, I can't believe I ever doubted that so much could be accomplished if I just put it into the Lord's hands. I guess we all reach a breaking point where we decide we can't do it all on our own. I reach that point once everyday I think. It is a lesson I have to learn over and over and over. I was gone for three weeks and while I was away Jordan and Shirlene and Megan just were the most perfect people ever. I Love you all so much. Thank you!

I'm starting to like the humidity, too--not sure I'd like to live in it forever but when we were on vacation it did seem too dry. By the way, I love your short hair!

Natali, even though we were neighbors I don't think I saw you hardly at all in the last couple months before we moved. We were sad that we didn't get to tell you goodbye, but we will still be able to see you at graduation.
I get excited about back to school too. I like to think about when I can start doing the back to school shopping for Brynlee in a couple years! It brings back fun memories.
Good luck with 3rd year! Keep in touch!

That is a really good pic of the two of you. I love reading your thoughts. You are such a great gal. I like humidity more than dry too. I tried to run in Idaho today, and I thought my chest was going to burst.

Natalie, I am totally with you on the back to school thing. But I won't dare admit it in front of Eric. It has been a blast VT with you.
